Universal Distraction
This past Tuesday we had a interesting night a Five Points to say the least. God blessed us with a very large group of folks who came out to witness. There were at least 10 evangelist who came out despite the rainy weather to share their faith in Christ. This number was very encouraging and it seems like the majority of us got a little taste of the enemy desire to stop us from spreading the Gospel. You know Satan really used some people to try and stop us but God still used us to reach a lot of people.
The first incident happened when we first arrived at Five Points with Zack, almost instantly a man came up and started cursing us and blaspheming the name of God the Creator. He was foul mouthed and was yelling at us. Zack said he had bumped into him earlier and that he had tried to spit some food at him. That being said a few minutes later we had a great witness with young man who wanted to give his life to the Lord and turn from sin. The witnessing encounter was awesome and a great encouragement to all us who were standing around.
The next distraction was a little tougher. We had a very argumentative woman who would not leave us alone. She hung around for 20 to 30 minutes condemning us and yelling us that we were leading people astray. She kept barging into witnesses and was used by the enemy to run off people were trying to talk to. Leah Rosser kept telling the woman that she loved her and that God loved her too. Every time Leah would say this she would get angry and walk away. We tried our best to reason with her but she was not listening. We ask that you pray for this woman and that she will not return to disrupt our ministry.
The next interruption we had was from the Marta Police. Many time the police will push us off the corners because they say that we are breaking a law. Brother Zak brought a copy of the rules down this time so we could see if we were within our legal limits. Thank God we were protected and we discovered that we have a lot of freedom with Marta as well.
The really praiseworthy thing about this night is that even through all of the distractions that we were still able to witness and tract a good number of people. God is so good to let us do this.
