YOU GOT OUR TRACT

YOU GOT OUR TRACT
You are probably here because you saw this website printed on the back of a Gospel Tract. We would like to thank you for stopping by and checking this site out. We would like you to take a few moments and look at the following message. The content of this message is the most important issue you will ever address in your life.

The Bible makes it clear that we have all sinned. Romans 3:23 tells us that everyone has sinned and fallen short of measuring up to God’s standards. His standard is perfection (Mt. 5:48), and none of us can match it. But what is sin? The Bible says that it is transgression of the Law of God (1 Jn. 3:4). In other words, it is disobedience to His moral Law, the Ten Commandments. The first time that you ever told a lie made you a liar. The first time you ever took something that didn’t belong to you made you a thief. These are just a few examples. Let’s take just a moment to look at all ten of them (Exodus 20:1-17).

1. You Shall Have No Other Gods Before Me. Have you always, every waking moment of your life, loved God more than any other thing or person? When you chase after money, or anything in your life, you replace Him as the most important thing. This includes things that are not bad in and of themselves, but which replace our love for God. At the moment that we love food, our families or our jobs more than we love God we deserve to die and spend eternity in Hell.

2. You Shall Not Make Yourself Any Graven Image. This commandment tells us that we are not allowed to define God, either with our hands or our minds. He is described in the Bible and if we do anything to try to shape Him into anything other than what He has said of Himself, we break this commandment. This includes making idols (representations) with our hands. It also includes making Him out to be less holy, righteous, just, or loving than He really is. Have you redefined God as someone less than He really is?

3. You Shall Not Take The Name Of The Lord Your God In Vain. God tells us that when we use His name casually instead of reverently, we have dishonored His name. Some people go so far as to use His name as a profanity. Instead of using a four-letter filth word to express disgust, they use the name of the God who gave them life and drag it through the mud! This is called blasphemy and is a very serious sin in the eyes of God. Have you ever used God’s name this way?

But that is not the only way you can blaspheme. Another way is to claim that you are a Christian (taking His name to yourself) and then living a life that contradicts what a Christian should be (Gal. 5:22-23). This gives the enemies of God an occasion to blaspheme (2 Sam. 12:14). Have you done this?

4. Remember the Sabbath day to keep it holy. God wants us to set aside at least one day each week to honor Him in worship. He tells us that we should not forsake the assembling of ourselves together in worship. Do you take one day in seven to rest and honor Him?

5. Honor Your Father and Mother. Have you always honored your parents? Have you ever rebelled against them? You might have been blessed with great parents and found it easy to obey them. However, the Bible says that if we break one commandment, we are guilty of breaking all of them (Jas. 2:10).

What is your attitude toward authority? Have you ever rebelled against teachers, employers, law enforcement, or church leadership? If so, you rebel against God because He established those authorities (Rom. 13:1-7; Heb. 13:17; Eph. 6:5-8).

6. You shall Not Kill. We know that it is wrong to kill, but Jesus said that if we hate someone we are a murderer at heart (Mt. 5:22). Have you ever hated anyone? Do you call yourself a Christian, yet hate a believer in Christ? The Bible says that you are a murderer (1 Jn. 3:15).

7. You Shall Not Commit Adultery. We know that adultery is wrong, but let’s take it one step further. Jesus told us that if we ever look with lust (sexual desire) at someone, then we have already committed adultery in our heart (Mt. 5:28). Have you ever looked with lust?

8. You Shall Not Steal. Have you ever taken anything that did not belong to you? The very first time you did it, you became a thief in God’s sight. If you steal something small, it is still stealing. If you stole it a very long time ago remember that the passing of time does not forgive sins.

9. You Shall Not Lie. Can anyone say that they have never lied? Everyone has done it. But that doesn’t make it less serious. When we lie, we contradict the very character of God, who is Truth (Jn. 14:6). We are all liars as far as God is concerned.

10. You Shall Not Covet. This means that you should not jealously desire something that does not belong to you. This is a strong motivator in our materialistic culture. Are you motivated by greed? Are you more concerned for material things than the things of God?

Can you see, as you examine yourself by the Law of God, that we are all guilty? Let’s look at what the Bible says will happen to those who break His laws. Revelation 21:8 says, “All liars will have their part in the lake of fire (hell).” 1 Corinthians 6:9-10 tells us that no thief or adulterer will enter heaven. This text also says that idolaters and murderers will not enter heaven. The Bible also tells us that God ‘will not hold him guiltless who takes His name in vain.’

Galatians 3:10 says that all who do not obey the Law are cursed! Friend, by these standards, you are in big trouble. Judgment day is soon coming (Heb. 9:27)! He’s coming to judge the world by His standard of righteousness (Acts 17:30-31), not ours. That’s the bad news.

The good news is that Jesus lived a perfect, sinless life (Heb. 4:15). He is God in the flesh (Jn. 1:1). The Bible says that He literally “became sin for us” that we might become “the righteousness of God in Him” (2 Cor. 5:21). You cannot stand before God in your own righteousness. That kind of righteousness is repulsive to God (Is. 64:6)! He offers those who will come to Him His own righteousness so that you will be clothed in it on the day of judgment, and not in your own. An exchange must take place; you must somehow lose your sins and gain His righteousness. Romans 5:8-9 tells us that “God demonstrated His love for us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then being justified by His blood we shall be saved from wrath through Him.” He paid your ‘court fine’ so that you could go free. This is wonderful news.

So, how do you receive this new life? Acts 17:31 says, “God commands all men to repent (turn from all you know to be sin) because He has appointed a day in which He will judge the world in righteousness.” Friend, that day is closer than you think! You need to not only repent, but also to place your faith and trust in Jesus to save you.

Faith is not believing in a creed or believing in things that aren’t real, like Santa Claus or the tooth fairy. Biblical, saving faith is trusting in Someone who is trustworthy. Jesus is trustworthy. Abandon yourself to Him for He is the only One who can save you. All other ground is sinking sand.

If you want to get right with God, go to Him in your own words and cry out to Him for mercy. Tell Him what you have done against Him, how you have broken His Law. Turn from those sins and abandon yourself to what Christ has done for you. Commit to following Him as Lord, or Master of your life. If you need help praying to trust Christ, we suggest using Psalm 51 as a guideline. Open your Bible there and pray it to God.

“Son, your sins are forgiven.”

MARK 2
1 When He had come back to Capernaum several days afterward, it was heard that He was at home. 2 And many were gathered together, so that there was no longer room, not even near the door; and He was speaking the word to them. 3 And they came, bringing to Him a paralytic, carried by four men. 4 Being unable to get to Him because of the crowd, they removed the roof above Him; and when they had dug an opening, they let down the pallet on which the paralytic was lying. 5 And Jesus seeing their faith said to the paralytic, “Son, your sins are forgiven.” 6 But some of the scribes were sitting there and reasoning in their hearts, 7″Why does this man speak that way? He is blaspheming; who can forgive sins but God alone?” 8 Immediately Jesus, aware in His spirit that they were reasoning that way within themselves, said to them, “Why are you reasoning about these things in your hearts? 9 “Which is easier, to say to the paralytic, Your sins are forgiven’; or to say, `Get up, and pick up your pallet and walk’? 10″But so that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins”–He said to the paralytic, 11 “I say to you, get up, pick up your pallet and go home.” 12 And he got up and immediately picked up the pallet and went out in the sight of everyone, so that they were all amazed and were glorifying God, saying, “We have never seen anything like this.”

I have been thinking about this very statement lately,”Son, your sins are forgiven.” What an awesome position we are in as believers! We are not longer under the penalty of death for our sins we are just the opposite now, we have the gift of life. You can see here that the paralyzed man in this statement was not your casual observer, nor a person who just stood on the outside looking in. He seems to be desperate, longing and would do anything to get to Jesus. He digs through the top of the roof. Think about that. When was the last time someone came breaking through the walls of your church or pulling apart the shingles on the roof of your prayer meeting to get in? A person so desperate that nothing would stop them from getting to Christ. I have never seen this as I guess most of you have not as well. I would love to see a person so laden with sins that would crawl, scratch or break open a roof to be forgiven by the only person who can pardon any of us. Jesus. What a powerful testimony this story is for the person who the Lord is drawing into salvation.

This paralyzed man not only went away healed but he went away a “freeman”. I said this to myself the other day. Chris Galloway you are a true Freeman. Your no longer a slave but you are free indeed. Wow think about that, if you have repented and put your faith in Christ are FREE too!! We are no longer slaves thanks to what Christ has done for us. We have freedom in Christ that cannot be stolen. How about the 4 men mentioned in this story? what a great group of men this is. They took this poor paralyzed sinner to the Messiah. What a great group of guys. Do we know anything else about these men? No! They may have been farmers, fishermen, soldiers, paupers or policemen, the story here does not say but we do know that they picked up this man and dropped him down to Jesus. The action they did to help this sick sin laden man get free will be forever remembered in scripture. I don’t know who these guys are but as a witness for Jesus I love them. What a great thing Christ has given us, one freedom and two the opportunity to take people to get free.

Tuesday June 28th 6:30 we will be witnessing at 5 Points MARTA station till about 9:00 PLease come join us.

Behold, I am coming quickly

“Behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to render to every man according to what he has done. 13 “I am the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end.” 14 Blessed are those who wash their robes, so that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter by the gates into the city.

Just think how soon he is coming now. The words of our Lord were written down about 2,000 years ago. With that said how much closer have we gotten to the return of Jesus? With all the wars and rumors of wars it seems as if our Lord’s return could be any day. I hope this letter finds you as excited as I am about his return.

Jesus says here he will render to every man according to what he has done. That means all of actions will be brought into account before the Lord. I think sometimes a great many of us will have a very few crowns, gold or jewels but a lot of wood, and straw that will burn up under our Lord’s testing. This rendering is an interesting word in the Greek, it is “apodidōmi”. The word has a lot of interesting uses one is to pay, to discharge, to give what is due. The Lord is one day going to give or render to us what we have done or not done for him. This should make us want to examine our lives and get rid of the burnable items? Also here the Lord lets us know that the Alpha and Omega is going to render to us. Not a bunch of our friends or family or bosses or neighbors but the final authority. The one who sees all our thoughts and weighs the intention of our hearts. There will be not higher arbiter to be weighed by and not greater person to ever stand before.

Blessed are those who wash their robes. We as believer have a wonderful opportunity in this verse. We get to show the wicked to the person who can wash their robes for them. Jesus. This implies that their robes are not clean though and need to be cleaned in order to gain this most precious right to the tree of life and entrance in to the gates of the city. We must talk of sin and show that their robes are stained and filthy and not worthy to enter into the city of the most high King of Kings. We must implore them and to get out of these filthy robes and have them washed in the blood of the cross. This is the only key that will unlock the doors of those gates. What a wonderful sight to be allowed into his city. What a wonderful opportunity for us to invite the lost to join us!

John 8:24

“I told you that you would die in your sins, for unless you believe that I am he you will die in your sins.”

In the United States we live in culture that has been overrun with political correctness, sensitivity and moral relativism. Our country has deemed that is wrong to judge on any grounds about anything at anytime. Our schools teach that there is not universal wrong or right. That any and all ideas are just as valid no matter how grounded in the truth that they are. These ideas are spread by Oprah and the media. If a person makes a judgment they are often blasted by their friends. A few years ago our president signed a bill that made it “illegal” to be offensive or to use hate speech. I don’t know about you but I see the noose tightening everyday for the believer.

I can see one day soon where the believer that states that a sin is wicked or that wrong will be painted rather quickly as an outcast or intolerant. I believe the Christian that tells people that homosexuality is a sin will be seen as one of those old rednecks who opposed civil right for black back in the sixties. A hater! A person who is not tolerant. I see these coming very soon. You and I might be arrested on day for calling people out on sin.

We can now start to see this idea of tolerance creeping into Christianity. I have heard of teachers that are saying that there is no Hell. That all people will wind up in heaven. Rob Bell is a great example of a person who misguides the message. A direct quote from his book “Love wins” , “A staggering number of people have been taught that a select few Christians will spend forever in a peaceful, joyous place called heaven, while the rest of humanity spends forever in torment and punishment in hell with no chance for anything better…. This is misguided and toxic and ultimately subverts the contagious spread of Jesus’ message of love, peace, forgiveness, and joy that our world desperately needs to hear.”

“This is misguided and toxic.” Jesus says in Matthew 7 that many professing Christians will be told to depart from Him for he never knew them. The question then is how does the future look for the ungodly and unbelieving? John 8:24 “I told you that you would die in your sins, for unless you believe that I am he you will die in your sins.” Seems like an intolerant statement. No to the believer it seems like the truth.

I know many Christians personally that like the Rob Bell videos. This is very troubling because the Trojan horse of tolerance and ultimately the eroding of the Gospel is coming from teachers like him.

The Bible is very exclusive, it is very intolerant . It is not a wide open door. Let us look at some scriptures here:

1 John 2:1 My little children, I am writing these things to you so that you may not sin. But if anyone does sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous.

1 Peter 2:24 He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. By his wounds you have been healed.

Romans 5:21 so that, as sin reigned in death, grace also might reign through righteousness leading to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord

John 14:6 I am the way the truth and the life, no one comes to the Father except through me.

Let us stand firm on these Biblical truths and use them to counter the “tolerance” movement that is creeping into the church today!

Senator Barabra Mikulski Repent

Exodus 21: 22 “If men fight, and hurt a woman with child, so that she gives birth prematurely, yet no harm follows, he shall surely be punished accordingly as the woman’s husband imposes on him; and he shall pay as the judges determine. 23 But if any harm follows, then you shall give life for life, 24 eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot, 25 burn for burn, wound for wound, stripe for stripe.

A view of Senator Barbara Mikulski’s Ash Mark

The other day I was watching television and saw a Senator on speaking in congress. I looked at the video and saw what at first glance looked like a bruise on the forehead of the woman speaking on the floor. The speaker at this time was the Senator from Maryland Barabra Mikulski. After a moment of wondering what happened I realized that it was ash Wensday and that the Senator had an ash mark on her forehead.

The ash mark is the beginning of the Catholic holiday of lent. Most associate it with sorrow for sin and death. I decided to look around and visited some sites that list current views of Senators on what we view as sin. The issue that I looked at was child murder or abortion. I can find zero grounds for Biblical support of abortion or child murder in the scriptures. As a matter of fact the Biblical view is just the opposite. In Exodus 21 we see that scripture recognizes the fruit in a mother’s womb as a child. This is God’s view as laid out through his word that if a man causes a woman’s child to die in her womb that he should be put to death. The Bible makes it very clear on this point and debate on this matter is usually brought about by person deisre to live contrary to God Word.

Here is a record of the Senator’s record on abortion rights per ontheissues.org
Voted NO on restricting UN funding for population control policies. (Mar 2009)
Voted NO on defining unborn child as eligible for SCHIP. (Mar 2008)
Voted NO on prohibiting minors crossing state lines for abortion. (Mar 2008)
Voted YES on expanding research to more embryonic stem cell lines. (Apr 2007)
Voted NO on notifying parents of minors who get out-of-state abortions. (Jul 2006)
Voted YES on $100M to reduce teen pregnancy by education & contraceptives. (Mar 2005)
Voted NO on criminal penalty for harming unborn fetus during other crime. (Mar 2004)
Voted NO on banning partial birth abortions except for maternal life. (Mar 2003)
Voted NO on maintaining ban on Military Base Abortions. (Jun 2000)
Voted NO on banning partial birth abortions. (Oct 1999)
Voted NO on banning human cloning. (Feb 1998)
Endorsed Recommended by EMILY’s List of pro-choice women. (Apr 2001)
Rated 100% by NARAL, indicating a pro-choice voting record. (Dec 2003)
Expand embryonic stem cell research. (Jun 2004)
Rated 0% by the NRLC, indicating a pro-choice stance. (Dec 2006)
Provide emergency contraception at military facilities. (Apr 2007)
Protect the reproductive rights of women. (Jan 1993)
Ensure access to and funding for contraception. (Feb 2007)
Focus on preventing pregnancy, plus emergency contraception. (Jan 2009)

It is pretty long record of support for infant murder.

The ashen cross seen on the Senator’s forehead is very alarming. The Bible calls us to repent and trust Jesus for our salvation. I believe the repentance part maybe lost on the Senator. The Senator outward sign identifying yourself with Jesus Christ and then doing what is contrary to his Word is sign of a religious hypocrite. They Bible says clearly in Matthew 7: 22 Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ 23 And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’ These are people who claimed to be religious or followers of Jesus and yet denied Jesus by their lawless deeds. A person can say one thing but by their action deny Christ.

What the Senator has done is set up an Idol named Jesus. She may like the religion, she may apperciate the religious people in her background but by her actions she denies the Jesus laid out in the Bible. This is called idolatry. Revelation 21:8 lays out the fate of idol worshippers 8 :But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers,
idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.”

We beg humbly that Senator Barabra Mikulski would repent of her Idolatry and trust Jesus Christ for her salvation!!

Nahum

Nahum 1:2 God is jealous, and the Lord avenges; The Lord avenges and is furious. The Lord will take vengeance on His adversaries, And He reserves wrath for His enemies; 3 The Lord is slow to anger and great in power, And will not at all acquit the wicked. The Lord has His way In the whirlwind and in the storm, And the clouds are the dust of His feet. 4 He rebukes the sea and makes it dry, And dries up all the rivers. Bashan and Carmel wither, And the flower of Lebanon wilts. 5 The mountains quake before Him, The hills melt, And the earth heaves at His presence, Yes, the world and all who dwell in it. 6 Who can stand before His indignation? And who can endure the fierceness of His anger? His fury is poured out like fire, And the rocks are thrown down by Him. 7 The Lord is good, A stronghold in the day of trouble; And He knows those who trust in Him

What a powerful scripture describing 2 sides of God character. One the one hand we see jealousy and anger of God towards the wicked. The other side we see the goodness of God in those who trust Him.

When I first started witnessing and sharing the Gospel years ago the thing that compelled me to go into the streets and speak with strangers can be best be visioned in the scripture listed above. I would like to say this. I am a work in progress and am not a theologian by any means. There is some things in the Bible that are tough to understand sometimes. I am not a gifted speaker and do not have a great grasp on the English language as many of you can tell from the letters that I type. I don’t have some amazing life story to give about myself. I am not an leader of some huge company nor did I score any famous touchdowns in a football game.

That being said there are some things that are crystal clear in scripture and that I do fully understand and that God has give me and you the ability to do. God is jealous and He avenges and is furious. I understand this. The wicked are under this and His wrath is waiting to be executed on them. His enemies have wrath reserved for them. I understand this as well. God is slow to anger and he will not acquit the wicked. I understand this too. The Lord has His way In the whirlwind and in the storm, And the clouds are the dust of His feet. 4 He rebukes the sea and makes it dry, And dries up all the rivers. Bashan and Carmel wither, And the flower of Lebanon wilts I understand this too. I understand this. This does not present a good picture for the sinner. The Lord is good, A stronghold in the day of trouble; And He knows those who trust in Him. I got this part too I understand it.

What compelled me to go into the streets, to pass out tracts and tell people about Christ is the stuff in scripture I understand. Most people you drive past, talk to, go shopping with, deal business with, go to school with and are related to fall into the first category. They are under the wrath of God, He is angry with them and their wrath is waiting to be executed on them. He will not acquit them. That terrifies me. I don’t want to see that happen to anyone. I do not want to see people stand in front of God with no protection from His wrath and indignation. What a horrible thing to see that!! There is a solution I understand this too. Jesus came to save people that God is angry with. He did it in amazing way. When the day of trouble comes Jesus will be the only stronghold for any of us. I want so bad to tell people to come to Him to come to his protection.

Do you understand this scripture? Do you want to compel them to come to the stronghold?

I hope you do.

MONSTER JAM TRUCK SHOW AT GEORGIA DOME

BROTHER MARCUS PREACHING THE GOSPEL AT THE MONSTERJAM TRUCK SHOW

Hey friend. We had another chance to glorify God this weekend and lift up his Holy Name amongst the perishing. This weekend Jason, Marcus and Chris went to the Monster Jam truck show at the Georgia Dome. This was a full house event and many people showed up to go. We brought our tracts, signs and truth horn out to proclaim the Gospel in front of the large crowd that was going in. The crowd was very responsive this night and we could see by their reaction that they were hearing a good part of the Gospel. We had a great spot and had our speaker set up so that the sound reached down the street as the crowd came toward us. This gave us a good amount of time for them to hear the Gospel. Marcus showed up and preached to the crowd and did a wonderful job. We have a video of him preaching at the show. Chris tells us that he was amazed at how many people read his John 3:36 sign as they went past. The sign says,” He who believes in the Son has life, but he who does not obey the Son will not see life and the wrath of God abides upon him.” Many young children walked by and read the sign as well. Jason was out there and handed out many tracts. He also provided the great video that we have. The video shows Brother Marcus preaching the Gospel of Jesus and then how a heckler comes in . Marcus told us that he is a heckler magnet and true to his word he gets a live one in this video. Later that evening the GWCC Police come and shut down the preaching on the, “public sidewalks”. The Police stated we needed a permit to preach and tract on public property. What an interesting dilemma? Freedom of speach, freedom of religion, freedom of peaceful assembly that has to have a permit issued by the police. It all worked out well because by the time they shut us down the crowd had already dwindled to a trickle. What a blessing the Lord of Host allowed us to proclaim the Gospel for a long time without interruption. Many people heard, saw or received tracts that proclaimed the saving Gospel of Christ.

…and I’m a Mormon

…and I’m a Mormon

It is very interesting to see the Mormon church continue to try to look normal and steer away from their cultic background. In their latest series of video ads on places like youtube the idea presented in the video is that the Mormons are just like everyday people, they are just like you and I. They have families and jobs and fun hobbies like singing, working on motocycles, playing football and raising pet birds. We go to grocery stores and the mall and picnics and just like you. To the unregenerate this sounds perfectly harmless. Maybe we should go to the Mormon church, I mean they love their families and help people etc.

They advertise a guy, Jeff Decker, as a common everyday man to promote the fact that Mormons are like everyone else In the Mormon promotional video Jeff Decker says that,” I believe in having friends who pray to a different god than I do. I think that they should be able to woship to the dictates of their hearts and they should repect my rights to do the same.” Wow! this sounds like a line straight from Oprah Winfreyism’s belief that,” All roads lead to Heaven.” Let look and see what some of the early Mormon Church leaders said about this idea of people worshiping and praying to other gods with a specific focus on what the Mormons said about what Christians believe in:

“Behold there are save two churches only; the one is the Church of the Lamb of God and the other is the church of the devil; wherefore whoso belongeth not to the church of the lamb of God belongeth to that great church; which is the mother of abominations; and she is the whore of all the earth.” (The Book of Mormon, 1 Nephi 14:10)

“Nothing less than a complete apostasy from the Christian religion would warrant the establishment of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.” (Documentary History of the Church, Introduction, xl)

“I was answered that I must join none of them (Christian Churches), for they were all wrong…that all their creeds were an abomination in His sight” (Joseph Smith History 1:19).

“…orthodox Christian views of God are Pagan rather than Christian.” (Mormon Doctrine of Deity by B.H. Roberts, p.116)

“…the God whom the ‘Christians’ worship is a being of their own creation…” (Apostle Charles W. Penrose, JD 23:243)

“The Christian world, so called, are heathens as to their knowledge of the salvation of God.” (Brigham Young, JD 8:171)

“We may very properly say that the sectarian world do not know anything correctly, so far as pertains to salvation. Ask them where heaven is?- where they are going to when they die?-where Paradise is! -and there is not a priest in the world that can answer your questions. Ask them what kind of a being our Heavenly Father is, and they cannot tell you so much as Balaam’s ass told him. They are more ignorant than children.” (Brigham Young, JD 5:229).

“The Christian world, I discovered, was like the captain and crew of a vessel on the ocean without a compass, and tossed to and fro whithersoever the wind listed to blow them. When the light came to me, I saw that all the so-called Christian world was grovelling in darkness.” (Brigham Young, JD 5:73).

“What! Are Christians ignorant? Yes, as ignorant of the things of God as the brute best.” (John Taylor, JD 13:225)

“What does the Christian world know about God? Nothing…Why so far as the things of God are concerned, they are the veriest fools; they know neither God nor the things of God.” (John Taylor, JI) 13:225)

“Believers in the doctrines of modern Christendom will reap damnation to their souls (Bruce R. McConkie, Mormon Doctrine, p.177)

“I have learned for myself that Presbyterianism is not true.” (Joseph Smith, DHC 1:6)

“I spoke of the impropriety of turning away from the truth, and going after a people so destitute of righteousness as the Methodists.” (Joseph Smith, DHC 2:319)

“…brother Joseph B. Nobles once told a Methodist priest, after hearing him describe his god, that the god they worshiped was the “Mormon’s” Devil-a being without a body, whereas our God has a body, parts and passions.” (Brigham Young, JD 5:331)

“…brother Heber C. Kimball was beset by a number of Baptist priests who had been attending a conference. He read them all down out of the New Testament….With regard to true theology, a more ignorant people never lived than the present so-called Christian world.” (Brigham Young, JD 8:199).

“The Roman Catholic, Greek, and Protestant church, is the great corrupt, ecclesiastical power, represented by great Babylon….” (Orson Pratt, Orson Pratt, Writings of an Apostle,”Divine Authenticity,” no.6, p.84).

“…all the priests who adhere to the sectarian religions of the day with all their followers, without one exception, receive their portion with the devil and his angels.” (The Elders Journal, Joseph Smith Jr., editor, vol.1, no.4, p.60)

“And any person who shall be so wicked as to receive a holy ordinance of the gospel from the ministers of any of these apostate churches will be sent down to hell with them, unless they repent of the unholy and impious act.” (Orson Pratt, OP-WA, “The Kingdom of God,” no.2, p.6)

“…all other churches are entirely destitute of all authority from God; and any person who recieves baptism or the Lord’s supper from their hands will highly offend God, for he looks upon them as the most corrupt people.” (Orson Pratt, The Seer, pg. 255)

“…the great apostate church as the anti-christ…This great antichrist…is the church of the devil.” (Apostle Bruce R. McConkie, Mormon Doctrine p.40)

“Both Catholics and Protestants are nothing less than the “whore of Babylon” whom the lord denounces by the mouth of John the Revelator as having corrupted all the earth by their fornications and wickedness.” (Pratt, The Seer, p.255)

“Brother Taylor has just said that the religions of the day were hatched in hell. The eggs were laid in hell, hatched on its borders, and then kicked on to the earth.” (Brigham Young, JD 6:176)

“Evil spirits control much of the so-called religious worship in the world; for instance, the great creeds of Christendom were formulated so as to conform to their whispered promptings.” (Bruce R. McConkie, Mormon Doctrine, p.246)

“After the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints was organized, there were only two churches upon the earth. They were known respectively as the Church of the Lamb of God and Babylon. The various organizations which are called churches throughout Christiandom, though differing in their creeds and organizations, have one common orgin. They belong to Babylon.” (George Q. Cannon, Gospel Truth, p.324)

Finally, note the views of Mormon Prophet Brigham Young regarding the Christian view of Jesus Christ:

“You may hear the divines of the day extol the character of the Saviour, undertake to exhibit his true character before the people, and give an account of his origin…I have frequently thought of mules, which you know are half horse and half ass, when reflecting upon the representations made by those divines. I have heard sectarian priests undertake to tell the character of the Son of God, and they make him half of one species and half of another, and I could not avoid thinking at once of the mule, which is the most hateful creature that ever was made, I believe. You will excuse me, but I have thus thought many a time” (Journal of Discourses 4:217).

There is a little problem here with what the Mormon church trying to show the world through the video of Jeff Decker. I quote Jeff Decker again, “I believe in having friends who pray to a different god than I do. I think that they should be able to worship to the dictates of their hearts and they should repect my rights to do the same. That is not what the church leaders said. Here are a few excerpts from the above beliefs of the Mormon leaders about Christians: abomination, apostacy, wrong, pagan, heathens, ignorant, grovelling, brute beast, fools, damnation, destitute, not true, devils and corrupt. These two viewpoints don’t match up. It appears that Mormon church has decided to take off the rough edges and put on a more pleasing front to the world.

The real problem is that Jeff Decker’s god is not the God of the scripture. No matter how much you have in common with him or how nice his church members are or how many motorcycles you both have, his god will lead you into a eternity of Hell an into the wrath of God. It is ironic that the God of the Bible is the same yesterday, today and forever while the god of Mormonism has changed drastically in his view of other religions in the last 150 years or so. One day he say that Christians are abominations, lost, brute beast and then a little while later their god says that we should tolerate the other religions and respect them. Which one is it really?

I do not say this out of arrogance or pride but with distinct sadness in that Jeff Decker, and the Mormon church lay out a much different God than listed in the Bible. Who God is, is not a sideline issue at all. If a person worships the wrong god he will not inherit eternal life. John 8:24 Jesus says the following, “I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am [he], ye shall die in your sins.” If a person does not have the right Jesus they will die in their sins. Do not trust the god of the Mormons who shifts like the sand but trust the God of the Bible who never changes.

Would you allow a convicted child molester to baby sit your child??

Would you allow a convicted child molester to baby sit your child?? We spoke with Michael on Tuesday night and proposed this question to him. He was a very nice guy. We spoke with him for close to one hour. We asked him about the law and you can see the great work the law of God does on this man’s heart. When we first met Michael he was argumentative and was a hard person to witness to. At the end of the witness he was thanking us and he also hugged Phil. If you get a chance please check out this video as well.

We have a video of Mike, Chris, Phil & Kelly speaking to a Rastafarian at 5 Points. This is a great witness and we got a pretty good amount of footage for you to pick on how to witness a little better. Phil talks a lot about the deity of Jesus. How great it is to tell someone the good news of the Gospel.

Sean “Puffy” Combs Repent

Habakkuk 2:14-16 14 For the earth will be filled With the knowledge of the glory of the LORD, As the waters cover the sea. 15 “ Woe to him who gives drink to his neighbor, Pressing[a]him to your bottle, Even to make him drunk, That you may look on his nakedness! 16 You are filled with shame instead of glory. You also—drink! And be exposed as uncircumcised! The cup of the LORD’s right hand will be turned against you, And utter shame will be on your glory. This is a pretty stern warning from the Word of God.

The other day I was walking into a shop and looked up and saw the above picture on the side of a truck driving down a street. This picture shows Sean Combs endorsing and encouraging people to drink Vodka. Sean Combs is one of the largest music performers of the last few years. His records sell millions and Sean is on all kinds of TV shows, magazines and websites. What is Sean doing with his fame, he is encouraging people to be drunk with the brand of Vodka he endorses. Let see the warning that has been leveled against Sean “Puffy” Combs.

“Woe to him who gives drink to his neighbor”. The Lord God of heaven has said Woe to Puffy. That is a scary thought. Woe is not a gentle suggestion but a stern warning that a person is heading toward a God who is angry with him and his sin. God is warning Puffy to repent of his encouraging people to get drunk. “You are filled with shame instead of glory.” God’s word says that even though he is lifted up and people adore Puffy, he is actually filled with “shame” in the sight of God. Puffy is filled with shame accourding to God reagrdless of how many people love him or listen to his work.

“The cup of the LORD’s right hand will be turned against you.” This is part that really make me afraid for Puffy. He may be popular today but the cup of God’s right hand will be turned against Sean Puffy Combs in due time. God will execute his judgement on Puffy. It will not be delayed. There is still time for Puffy to repent and believe in Jesus but if this does not happen there will be a day when God’s mercy will no longer stay his justice.

If you have been caught up and believed what Puffy is endorsing, out of love I would like to warn you. The Bible says the following in 1 Corinthians 6: 9-11 ” Or do you not know that wrongdoers will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor men who have sex with men nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. And that is what some of you were. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God. ”
Please I beg you out of concern to repent of your sin and believe in Jesus to save you.

We would like to say,” Sean Puffy Combs Repent”

Witness with a man in front of Hooters in Atlanta

This is a great video of a man hearing the Gospel in front of Hooters in Atlanta. We speak with him about the law and also ask him if he sees a decreased pattern of sin in his life. We hope this video is encouraging to you.

Great Scripture:

Joshua 23:16

When ye have transgressed the covenant of the LORD your God, which he commanded you, and have gone and served other gods, and bowed yourselves to them; then shall the anger of the LORD be kindled against you, and ye shall perish quickly from off the good land which he hath given unto you.

Witnessing at 5 Points Marta Station

This is a great video that was shot at 5 Points Marta Station this past Tuesday Night. Phil and Chris speak to two young men that were haning out at the station. We spoke to both of them for about 20 minutes or so. They asked the young men if they will go to heaven when they die. One of the two said no right of the bat the other said he would. Phil and Chris used the Party Invitation tracts. These tracts have the picture of a party invitation on the front and have a very strong gospel invitation on the back. The Party tract ask the person if they will get into heaven when they die. It goes through the 10 commandments to see if they will be “good enough” to get in. Phil and Chris covered the whole Gospel and we hope and pray that these two men repent and believe soon. If you would like to see the witness please watch the video above.

New Years Eve

This New Years Eve went great. We had some wonderful prayer time the day before New Years Eve. We went first to the Peach Bowl game and had the opportunity to lift up the name of Christ in front of thousands of football fans. We had about 10 of us there at the game. We had one brother who preached for the 1st time ever. He is 19 years old and he did just a bang up job.

Next we moved over to Phillips Arena at the Zax Brown concert and again we had a awesome time. Canyon, Chris and Jason spoke with David and Jason for a long time and reasoned with them about Christ. Brother Jason video the witness. The witness is about 43 miniutes long. You can watch the witness here:

Please pray that God would speak to these two young men and reveal his truth to them.

After this we went over to the Peach Drop. We have a great video of Canyon preaching to the crowd. We had many many witnesses and handed out tons of tracts. Chris told us He spoke with a young man named Skylar who was a homosexual. He had a great witness with him. His main point was his homosexuality and Chris tells us that he told the young man he would wind in Hell because he is a sinner. The young man stayed for a while and the two had a good conversation. The John 3:36 sign got many readers and started many conversations for us as well. We had a young lady who was a Jehovah’s Witness stop and was locked onto the sign. Brother John tried to to speak with her and giver a tract but she would not take it. The Jehovah Witness are told not to take and literature from other religions. This is a good tactic for keeping their members locked up in the cult. The woman’s husband who was with her dragged her off before we had a chance to speak with her.

Here is a great video of Canyon preaching at the Peach Drop.

KEVIN TELLS US WHY WE SHOULD WITNESS ABOUT JESUS

STEPHEN TELLS US ABOUT HIS SALVATION

Hello Friend,

2 Corinthians 4:4
The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel that displays the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.

This past week I had the opportunity to witness to a young lady as she was going to get on her bus. I was holding the 10 commandment sign and was asking her if she knew any of the 10 commandments. She said she knew the universal laws. I told her that God’s 9th law says do not bare false witness. I then asked her if her universal law said that was a good thing or a bad thing. She then told me that she did not know about that. I asked her if she thought lying was a bad thing or a good thing to which she said she could not answer that. You must understand that this young lady was very hard hearted. Many times we will try our best to engage people and they many times are very hard and will not let us talk to them. This was the case with this girl. The conversation ended poorly and she handed back the tract and walked off. We hope that we can share the truth of Christ with people but many people are so hardened and blinded that they will not receive the truth.

We ran into another man whom Brother Phil had witnessed to and remarks about in last weeks video. The guy recognized us instantly. He had been doing some sort of drug or something and very uneasy being around us. As he spoke to us he would face us but kept stepping back a little every few seconds. Mile tried his best to engage him in conversation but he was had little desire to hear the truth. We asked him if Jesus would let him into heaven? He looked at us and said point blank he would not need Jesus to get into heaven. He then ended the conversation and disappeared into the night.

And seems like in Five Points we witness to many Muslims. American Muslims are very tough to witness to because they many times have a Christian background and are very hardened to the Gospel. There is a group led by Dereck Douglas who has been coming to 5 Points to witness. Thet are so awesome down there witnessing late at night and I am always very encouraged to see them out sharing their faith. They start witnessing at eight o’clock they stay until about 10 or 11 o’clock at night and witnessed people. I was a good 20 yards away from a group of them and I could hear a guy just letting loose and yelling at this group of young witnesses. This guy was ranting and raving and caring on. He was very angry and I could hear it a good ways away from them. I give you three guesses if you can tell me what religion he is? Not Amish, not a Methodist, no, he was a Muslim. These witnesses were trying to reason with him and he was hearing none of it. I have been there before and it is like speaking with a used car salesman, where as it is tough to get a word in. I believe the Devil has truly blinded the Muslim and has them wrapped around his finger. Many Muslim I run into are very self righteous. If you “religion” calls for you good deeds to out weigh your bad deeds you had better be very self righteous. However the Bible shows us our good deeds look in the sight of a Holy God.

Isaiah 64:6 All of us have become like one who is unclean, and all our righteous acts are like filthy rags; we all shrivel up like a leaf, and like the wind our sins sweep us away. We won’t be standing to well in front of God in our own filthy rags. Here is an interesting point the only attribute of God that is mentioned three times in a row is not: loving, loving, loving or kind, kind, kind, or mercy, mercy, mercy but HOLY,HOLY, HOLY. God is Holy. I would not even think for a moment to try and stand before God in my own good deeds or my own self righteousness. I would fare no better than Adam did when he tried to cover himself in a leaf. The leaf did not cover his sin and the Muslims good deeds will unfortunately be like a flimsy leaf that will not do him any good before a God that is Holy, Holy, Holy. We need Jesus to protect us from the Holiness of God. God’s Holiness will tolerate no sin at all. I fear for the Muslim I speak to because they will will stand before a Holy God and unfortunately they will be without excuse. I hope and pray that their self righteousness will be uncovered and replaced by the covering of Jesus before it is to late.

Brother Mike and Brother Phil tell about witnessing encounters and why we should do it.

Here are a couple of great interviews we did on the streets after witnessing at 5 Points. We are so grateful that these two brother took some time out of their busy schedules to come share the Gospel on the street corner. Please feel free to come join us any time.

Brother Phil tells us about his witnessing encounter on the train.

SEEDS

This past week we hit the streets to proclaim the Lord Jesus Christ. This past Tuesday we handed out many tracts and spoke to a good number of people about where they will spend eternity.
Proverbs 11:30 The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life, And he who wins souls is wise. The Bible wants us to be wise and to win souls for Him. What an awesome opportunity for us to put our faith into action.

Matthew 13:4 And as he sowed, some seed fell by the wayside; and the birds came and devoured them.
Eddie, showed up again this week. Eddie is a man in his mid forties who a few people in our group spoke to for a long time about a month ago. Eddie is homeless and is on drugs. Eddie said he wanted to give his life to the Lord and he wanted to get free from drugs. We saw him again this week and he was all messed up on drugs and confused and was continuing to run the spare change scam. The spare change scam is a way for drug addicts to get your loose change so they can get a cheap fix of drugs that are available on just about every street corner in the city. They tell you usually that they need to get change to get food, on get on the bus or something along these lines. Most of the times when we offer them food they refuse the food and continue pressing for the money instead. Many times we have given them money for train fairs in the past and have seen the spare change scammers move in the opposite direction from the train station after reiceving money. The scam really shows the power of sin in peoples lives and how they continuously steal and lie to get their sin fulfilled for just a short period of time. We sat down with Eddie for a while and read him Hebrews chapter 3 and 4. This section of the Bible says to the reader to not harden their heart and to not let sin deceive you. These two chapters also tell the person that because of disbelief will not enter the rest of the Lord.

We gave Eddie this in parting.

Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. 13 And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account. 14 Seeing then that we have a great High Priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. 15 For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin. 16 Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.

What a great scripture that any of us can approach the throne of grace to find help. We hope and pray that Eddie will do this as well. Please pray for Eddie.

Update:

Brother Chris tells us the young girl that was hit by the car is doing ok. He found out that her worst injury was a broken heel. Thanks to God for that.

Also the ball that brother Chris lost will helping out the young girl has been replaced. This is how it happened.

Brother Chris got and email from Butch at J316 Ministries. J316 Ministries has ministry soccer ball that they have made that allows a person to explain the Gospel using the colors on the soccer ball. There is a gold color on top that shows us we God is our creator. A black band shows us that we are separated from God due to our sin. The red stripe shows that Christ came and died for us showing God’s love. The white stripe on the ball shows us that we will be whiter than snow. The green stripe shows us that we will grow in the Lord. The gold stripe shows us that we will one day be with God in Heaven.

Butch sent 2 free balls up to Chris after he read his story on the TNT website. Brother Chris tells us that he is so grateful for the wonderful gift that Butch at J316 Ministries sent over to him. Here is the website for the ball http://j316ministries.com/index.html

Baby Rescue

This past Saturday I was very encouraged by the brothers and sisters out working in the vineyards all over the city.

Early in the morning a group of people showed up the woman’s health clinic off Wieuca Road and read scripture and called out to the people going in not to murder their babies. They tried to get the pregnant mothers to stop and think about what they were about to do. If you know much about the abortion mills in the US they are truly a horrific in the scale in which they kill children. It is an American Holocaust that is happening right under our nose. It is happening right behind the Burger King that you and eat at and take breaks at. I personally am horrible ashamed that this mass murder is taking place and most folks including myself are doing little or nothing about it. The situation reminds me of the folks in Germany who knew that the government was gassing people to death and did nothing about it.

The ladies from the baby rescue talked two woman out of the clinic and talked them into saving their babies. Thank you God.

There are currently 15 clinics like this in Metro Atlanta that run full bore.

Brother Tim and Keith Higgins went to the a fall festival and spoke with folks heading in and out about Jesus Christ and being saved from God’s wrath through Christ and also got a chance to pass out many tracts.

Brother Arthur Flood was at the aquarium passing out tracts to the people going in and out of the Georgia Aquarium and the World of Coke.

Brother John was at the Georgia Tech and NC State football game passing out tracts to the people heading into the game. How would you like to hear that one day, ” I was heading into the football game and the Lord spoke to me through this tract that a guy was handing out before the game.” Praise God he let us be involved in his work.

Brother Kevin, Chris and John went to the Beer Festival in Smyrna and passed out party tracts to the people heading in. The festival cost $35.00 to get in so they placed tracts on the car windows outside. Just when they were about to finish the police stopped them and told them they could not do that any more. God allowed them to place all the tracts before the Smyrna Police stopped them.

Praise God so many brothers and sister got a chance to lift up the name of Jesus this weekend. If you would like to get involved please let us know in the future.

Soccer Ball Or Life

Driving home Saturday night was very quite and uneventful. Just the type of driving I like. No traffic, no pressure just a nice cool night. A night where one can think about things and relax a little. As I prepared to turn off the road at my exit I made out in front of my car a figure crossing the road. Maybe the guy was like 30 yard in front of me. I could barely see him because he had dark cloths on and at this time of night that was an accident waiting to happen. I slowed down for him as he got across the road and waited for the approaching car to pass before making my left hand turn. Just as I reached intersection a second figure darted in front of my car.

I was instantly frozen with fear because this person was running directly in front of an oncoming car. I screamed as loud as could for the girl to stop but at that point all I heard was the screeching skids of a car who drive was realizing to late that there was a human being directly in front of his car. I heard the skids and that unmistakable dull thud as two objects hit each other.
I looked to my left and saw the silhouette of human spinning in the air, cell phone, purse silhouettes also following the same path. I turned my car around and parked on the side of the road. I was crying out to God. Please please God please, God help her. I frantic cry that has no other hope than to cry out to God for a poor girl who had just been clobbered.

I ran forward and there she was a limp body on the side of the road. I picked up my cell and called 911 so the help could get there. I got the operator on the phone. She asked me where I was and what my cell phone number was and I could not tell her where I was and what my number was I was in shock. I could not react. Thank God he gave me a clear mind in a few seconds.

The 911 operator guided me through what to do. The young girls was really injured badly. Because of the injuries to the head the operator told me to get a towel or napkin to help stop the bleeding. I did not have any on me but had remembered that I had some in the back of the Jeep. I ran over to get the napkins in the back of the jeep and popped open the trunk. As soon as I opened the trunk my soccer ball that I enjoy kicking around with my friend dropped out of the trunk and onto the ground. My car was parked on a hill so the ball following it desire to follow the leading of gravity rolled quickly down the hill. For a brief second I thought about chasing that ball down. I let it go. And it rolled away from me and out of my possession.
I grabbed the napkins and ran back over the bloody girl and we used them with some pressure to reduce the amount of blood she was losing. The paramedics got there in a few minutes and rushed her injured badly to the hospital.

What if I had spent 2 minutes chasing that soccer ball down instead of helping that girl? I considered it for a brief second. Man, that is terrible isn’t it? A good for nothing soccer ball over some life saving napkins.
This got me thinking about how many soccer balls do I have in my life. Philippians 3:7 But what things were gain to me, those I counted loss for Christ. How many things when we get to the end of our life we be like lousy soccer balls? Things we hold dear, things we spend hours and hours buying chasing, collecting, cheering for that will be a piece of trash that some one will have to clean up. Ecclesiastes 12:13 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man. This wraps it up do what Fear God and do what he tells us. Get rid of those worthless time consuming idols.
